After School Enrichment Program with Coeur du Petit Lion
Coeur du Petit Lion’s Elementary/Middle School Program puts an emphasis on the traditions of the sport, including the values of chivalry: discipline, honesty, and respect for others. State of the Art plastic swords and masks for the elementary grade children are used. Washable head guards are used under the masks. They are washed after every practice. Parents can purchase these head guards for their children to ensure the highest personal hygiene for any child. Look for our special order form. The plastic swords and masks for the fencing experience look and feel very real. They provide for an extremely safe fencing experience for any child.
Our Motto is “Safety First” when dealing with children of this age. We start with a small class size of 8 students. The head instructor, April Vihilidal, has her two assistants: Tyrell and Pedro. All coaches are trained in elementary school class management and are insured through Sports and Fitness Insurance. All elementary schools participating in this program are named as an additional insured through Sports and Fitness for the length of the Fencing Program.
This program requires no special equipment. We do have T-Shirts in black or white for sale with the Coeur du Petit Lion’s logo beautifully stitched over the heart. Names may be embroidered at an additional charge to any T shirt ordered. See the order form page.
